Is Your Company in Need of DOT Testing?
Did you know that employers typically end up paying billions of dollars every year as a result of employee substance abuse? Whether it’s related to alcohol, prescription medication, or illegal drugs, losing a sizable amount annually in revenue poses a potential threat to the success of a business.
Many businesses don’t believe they need to drug test their employees, and in a perfect world, that would be true. However, a solid drug and alcohol testing program can help prevent future problems, not only for the business as a whole but for each individual working there.
Advantage Physical Therapy – FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Center in Ventura provides DOT breath alcohol testing for routine employment screenings or post-accident testing. If you or your company needs assistance in breath alcohol testing, we can work with you to service your needs.

What Is A DOT Test?
DOT tests provide a non-intrusive method for testing employees for alcohol and drug use. They are different from Non-DOT tests, which is a drug test given to a worker in an industry that’s not regulated by the U.S. Dept of Transportation (DOT).
DOT alcohol tests identify alcohol concentration of 0.02 and greater, and the FMCSA website states that a DOT test requires laboratory testing for the following five classes of drugs as well:
- Marijuana
- Cocaine
- Opiates – opium and codeine derivatives
- Amphetamines and methamphetamines
- Phencyclidine – PCP
DOT tests can be conducted in our Ventura clinic and employers can expect results back within 24-48 hours. Our trained physical therapists are dedicated to helping you achieve a pain-free life.
